Design: The Amazon kindle Dx offers about 2 times the screen space of the kindle 2 with its 9.7 inch "e-ink" display and 1200x824 pixel resolution. Weighing in at 18.9 ounces the reader is larger and heavier manufacture it more grand for a bag than a pocket. The reader offers a built-in Qwerty keyboard and is slightly thicker than the Kindle 2.

Like other Kindle devices you need to be within range of Amazon services to enjoy the Whispernet relationship (meaning in the Us only). Firmware, blog and news updates are automatically downloaded. While other Kindle readers have had problems with Pdf files, the Kindle Dx is much great at it with the quality to zoom-in on the texts.

Overall, the reader isn't excessively heavy, but after a while it can be a strain on your arms compared to a smaller expedient or normal book. However, as an electronic display expedient for text and print it is unmatched by any tablet Pc or similarly sized expedient thanks to its great readability. These features make it the excellent textbook exchange device, as it is both lighter than most real textbooks while the bigger screen space makes reading a lot easier.
