Since August 2010 when Amazon released the kindle 3, citizen are already thinking on how the next generation the" kindle 4" is going to be like. What would it look like? Would it have a color display? Maybe a touchscreen model? Is it going to be more like the Apple iPad? Or could it be worse than the Kindle 3? These are just few of the questions Kindle owners and critics are throwing at Amazon right now. Is it already in the making? Or is it still on the drawing board?

By observing the Kindle 3, users already know what's lacking, what should be improved and what should be changed. Beginning off with the Qwerty board. The spaces between each keys are too small, you may accidentally press the wrong button instead. Considering that the Kindle 3 has no amount keys, Amazon may want to add them, as shifting keys from time to time to put an index on each page is not too handy. Even on my laptop. I have a detachable Usb amount keypad to avoid pressing shift keys whenever I press a amount on. Another thing that users want to have is a microSd slot. It may not be primary since the Kindle already can store up to 3.500 books, and I'm pretty sure, you won't be able to read all of them in a month or two. But for the sake of having extra warehouse in case we need it, it would be a whole lot better to have an Sd slot.

Replaceable battery is also an issue in here. Would having a detachable battery compromise the sleek size of the Kindle? In comparison, the Barnes and Noble Nook, which have a detachable battery, are thicker and therefore heavier than the Amazon's Kindle 3. Knowing that the Kindles battery could be left uncharged for a month, I'm pretty happy with its performance.

Neither an e-pub reserve nor a LendMe highlight is available, therefore one of the few things that users might like to see on the hereafter Kindle. We all know that the LendMe highlight is available on the Nook, but with Kindle having its Whispersync technology, it is understandable that Amazon are not imitating what others have, but rather build something uniquely that will be able to exchange books that you've read, from your Kindle to Another expedient that's capable of reading e-books. citizen tend to overlook this highlight since not all of us have the time to go from a different expedient to another.

These are basically the things that the Amazon would need to heighten with their next generation Kindle. But when it comes to a 180 degrees turn of the Kindle, meaning changing it from an e-book reader to something with a touchscreen, which is something that Amazon has to categorically think over. The same about adding a color display. It entirely would turn the Kindles title as an e-book reader. We understand that if the Kindle is going to have a colored display or touchscreen, battery life would also be affected. It may only last for 7-10 days with the Wifi off. That would be a big compromise for me.

On all devices, pros and cons will all the time be there, and as far as the Kindle 3 goes, a 4.5 rating out of 5 is a fair rating. There may or may not be a Kindle 4, but we users will never be satisfied unless a miracle happens, to make things perfect, just the way we startling them to be.
