Amazon have two model kindles which look approximately identical... kindle WiFi (wireless) and Kindle 3G priced at 9 and 9 respectively. Apart from the price, what are the real differences between these two?

1- Connectivity

The Kindle WiFi (wireless) will join together to high-speed internet via a wireless router which you may already have set up in your home. It will also join together to WiFi hotspots scattered colse to your town such as in cafes, libraries, hotels and other such places. What this means is, if you can connect, you can download... It's a uncomplicated as that.

The Kindle 3G, on the other hand, also has WiFi but in addition, it has 3G capability. Having 3G means that you can join together via the same wireless network used by cell phones.

3G allows you to join together everywhere there is 3G cell phone signal... Without having to go through the issue of setting up a wireless connection or having to roam colse to town finding for a connection in a WiFi hotspot.

In conclusion, if you are finding at which of these e-readers is the best value for money, it positively comes down to either you want to spend an extra on the Kindle 3G, giving you 3G quality and the color choice of either graphite or white.

When it positively comes down to it, the biggest deciding factor is how mobile you are. The 3G choice will allow you to download your favourite books if you are travelling, or on the run, whereas, if you are stay colse to home and visit the occasional WiFi hotspot, the Kindle Wireless will do fine.
